This is a "Ghost Bike" I spotted this week in London at Ludgate Circus in the City. The bikes are being placed at various locations around London (and internationally) as memorials to cyclists who have lost their lives in road traffic accidents. It is an evocative gesture however you just know that in 50 years' time, when everyone has forgotten why they were first put there, they will have become the foundation of new Urban Myths and Legends.
So I'm reading a BBC story about the UK's fascination with model train sets and how there's a big exhibition about it starting at the National Railway Museum. Among the illustrations is a picture of shoppers at a long vanished London department store (Whiteleys of Bayswater in the 1930s) looking at a train set... AND then I spot the 2 SCARY CLOWNS!
