We're living in dangerously weird times... smart people just shrug and admit they're dazed and confused

Not quite The Stalls at Barchester but The Mezzotint?

OK, so not quite as spooky as the carvings in the M. R. James story The Stalls at Barchester. Instead we have the stalls of the Gawdy Chapel at St Mary's Redenhall (or the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to give the church its formal title) near Harleston, South Norfolk). The Gawdy family were lawyers and politicians who thrived during the 16th-18th centuries and lived at nearby Gawdy Hall (demolished 1939) – the tortoise was their symbol.

Interestingly, in fact spookily, in another M. R. James story The Mezzotint, the villain of the piece – a hanged poacher who comes back from the dead to take his revenge on the family who caused his downfall – is called Gawdy, the last member of a very old family who had once been lords of the manor.

I'll be talking about the church, the Gawdy family and some local legends in the first episode of my new Urban Fantasist podcast series.

In this piece you state ... I'll be talking about the church, the Gawdy family and some local legends in the first episode of my new Urban Fantasist podcast series.

There does no appear to be a link to the podcast. On the right of my page is a link to episode 12 - Valentines Day. The date at the top of the page is Aug 30, 2017. And, way down at the bottom of the page are links to archived shows going back to 2012 which doesn't corroborate with the "...in the first episode of my new Urban..." So, I need to know how I get to the podcast about the Mezzotint?

Argh! As I write this... I've just moused over the title line at the top of the page. Could this be the not-so-obvious link? I'm going to submit this comment for consideration, then I will click the link. Hopefully, all will be well. Thanks for listening.

For reasons best known to the Gods of Technology (OK I messed up somewhere) the links got lost - follow this link and you'll find the podcast https://www.urbanfantasist.com/weird-tales-radio/urban-fantasist-weird-tales-radio-episode-1-7-september-2017 - the full archive of shows is here https://www.urbanfantasist.com/weird-tales-radio
