It seems like it was only the other day we were all stunned by the news the Chinese had succeeded in growing cotton seed on their new Moon lander spacecraft. Hang in, it was only the other day. Well it's gone to join the choir eternal – it's now dead – it couldn't survive the lunar night. Story by The Register.

RIP 2019-2019: The first plant to grow on the Moon? Yeah, it's dead already, Chinese admit

And then there is the US medicare startup that proposes charging old people $8000 so they can fill their veins with the blood of young people because... Well just because as the scientific benefits of this form of therapy seem distinctly hazy. Oh, wait... it worked for Countess Elizabeth Bathory. Picture of Ingrid Pitt in the role of the Countess because... it's Ingrid Pitt in one of her most iconic roles.

A controversial startup that charges $8,000 to fill your veins with young blood to defeat aging now claims to be up and running in 5 cities across the US

A startup called Ambrosia Medical that charges $8,000 to fill your veins with the blood of young people is now accepting PayPal payments for the procedure online. Stanford graduate and Ambrosia founder Jesse Karmazin told Business Insider this week that the company was up and running in 5 cities across the US.
