And we're back, starting the new year with 12 new scifaiku and zappai from John Hawkhead, Christina Sng, Guy Belleranti, Debora P Kolodji, John Reinhart, Susan Burch and Anna Sykora...

across the star field
golden sails of silent craft
the call of darkness

John Hawkhead

Cotton candy clouds
Neptune spins methane
Diamonds in the sky

at the end of time
we clasp hands
leap into the wormhole

Christina Sng

her goodnight kiss
horrible experience
never date a vampire

assembly required
dissatisfied droid
sends back its human

very rude robot
I give it a piece of my mind
it takes the rest

Guy Belleranti

drooping tulips
the outstretched arm
of a rusted robot

cop cruisers
at the edge of the galaxy
doughnut nebula

Deborah P Kolodji

typewriters
printing death notices
for iPhones

John Reinhart

done fantasizing
about him –
Klingon

Susan Burch

never knew her name
donor of my latest heart
love her just the same

anybody home
table taps and turns again
a poor connection

Anna Sykora

ha! This is a great collection. I'd pay money for a scifaiku desk calendar - 365 sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and weird haikus to keep you warm every day of the year. The "rude robot" and "doughnut nebula" made me laugh out loud.
